Right to be you Authentic and true

In my journey I have found that one of the most important things I can do is just be me.  When I was younger I wanted people to like me and thought that if I acted a certain way they would.  Avoiding conflict and creating this way.  Sometimes it didn't even work, no matter how hard I tried to be loved and accepted by a family member or an individual, trying to bend over backwards to please.  I realized that is it more important to be me, giving love and working towards harmony but not giving me.  Yes it may have hurt me emotionally at the time, but now the experience has made me stronger and solidified my importance to me.
